Product Review: Chambray Shirt from Vagrant Nobility.
I’m not one who does much denim, truth be told I only own 1 pair of jeans that I wear occasionally on weekend runs to the local store.  This season I wanted to find a great denim/chambray shirt, something I could wear during fashion season and beyond, something that had character and I could incorporate in my every day style.
Recently I was introduced to Vagrant Nobility (a Chicago, Illinois based company) who makes a long and short sleeve chambray shirt among other things.  In all honesty I didn’t expect much in terms of something new, or fresh - I mean a chambray shirt is a chambray shirt - I stand corrected.  Material, fit and style do differentiate chambray shirts as they do in all other items.
The Material.
I’d be a fool and liar to even begin talking about denim material (I own one pair so I leave the explanations to the experts like Mordachai (of Mister Mort).  What I can say is that the material works well with a bespoke suit or a great pair of linen pants.
The Fit
Slim cut without being skin tight or restricting me from moving swiftly while constantly raising my camera, or picking up my daughter.  No excess material to tuck in.
The Style
The button holes at a slant, club collar, and unique flaps on the sleeve buttons give this chambray shirt a certain edge without going overboard.  Sometimes it may seem that certain brands do too much to stand out, this is not the case for Vagrant Nobility, the shirt stands out without being offensive or trying too hard.
I have long left behind the idea that style is about having the latest trends, instead I believe that the pursuit of style is not influenced by trends but instead, it is its own measure of style.
Vagrant Nobility as a whole is a refreshing brand that has all its product manufactured in Chicago, Illinois, and gives you a taste of Americana.  Each collection is deliberately small so get it while you can.
The chambray shirt from Vagrant Nobility is
Guerre worn and approved and Casual Fly certified.
