For 2 years I’ve been wanting to purchase a classic tailored suit with African print, but no designer (that was mainstream) was producing what I had in mind. I decided to find the perfect material (deep in Brooklyn, NY), the perfect bespoke tailor (in N.Y.C.), and make it happen instead of waiting until designers thought it was fashionable to produce.
I linked up with Alexander Nash, had a tuxedo (pants pictured), the shirt made, and voila.
I’m a firm believer that style isn’t what happens on the runway during fashion season, it’s what the individual creates.
