A true pleasure coming up with a concept, getting the right team together (Ko Tsuchiya on Video and editting, H. Lee on Original Music, and myself Directing), finding the perfect subjects (Matteo Gioli, Nick Wooster, Nicola Ricci, Devon Scott, and Sam Lambert), the right collaborator GQ Japan …. and seeing the results.
I had the chance to work with 5 gentlemen subjects that have not only a great sense of style, but also who have mastered the art of details. Street style has allowed me to meet some of the most stylish men and it’s my pleasure to share with you ‘Gentlemen of Style (Part 1)’.
This video is a sneak peek at some of the gentlemen I shot. I thank GQ Japan for the opportunity to share with their audience this video and for their commitment to think outside the box. I also have to thank 2 dear friends and partners on this project: Ko Tsuchiya who did all the camera work and editing, and H. Lee who created the original music - My partners in vision.
I was recently approached by Aramis to give my interpretation of “The Gentleman” in a campaign titled “The Gentleman presented by Aramis”.
I was given carte blanche and given the creative freedom to come up with what I felt told the story. Let me simply say in a time where it’s cool and trendy to be a gentleman the reality is the gentleman is nothing new, nothing special - he’s simply a man who lives life with passion, respect and style. Being a gentleman is an every day thing.
